Nothing contained on this website constitutes medical advice or instructions for the treatment of patients.
4. Phacoemulsification warning
Phacoemulsification of the simulated nucleus is not recommended unless expressly stated otherwise in the instructions for a specific CataTrain product.
The simulated nuclear material supplied with or recommended for use with CataTrain models has not been designed or validated for use with clinical phacoemulsification equipment.
Use of this material with a phacoemulsification handpiece, tip, irrigation/aspiration system or other clinical equipment may result in obstruction, contamination, abnormal mechanical resistance or damage to the equipment.
Such use falls outside the intended use of the product.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CataTrain is not responsible for damage to third-party surgical or phacoemulsification equipment resulting from use of CataTrain materials contrary to these instructions.
Nothing in this provision excludes or restricts any liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
5. Surgical instruments and equipment shown on the website
Photographs, videos, tutorials, demonstrations and promotional materials published by CataTrain may show surgical instruments or other equipment, including forceps, capsulorhexis forceps, choppers, cannulas, syringes, needles, blades, microscopes, phacoemulsification equipment or other accessories.
These instruments and equipment are shown for demonstration purposes only and are not included with a CataTrain product unless expressly identified as included in the relevant product description.
The contents of each purchase are limited to the components specifically listed on the relevant product page and/or order confirmation.
6. Consumable and replaceable components
Certain parts of CataTrain products are intentionally designed to be:
- cut;
- pierced;
- torn;
- injected into;
- fractured;
- manipulated;
- permanently deformed; or
- otherwise consumed during training.
These components are therefore consumable training materials and may require replacement after use.
Normal deterioration resulting from their intended training use does not by itself constitute a manufacturing defect.

- minor finishing characteristics; or
- other non-functional cosmetic features.
Such minor variations do not necessarily constitute a defect provided that they do not materially affect the advertised functionality or safety of the product.
